Hello, it is good to be back with another Bible reading. In this video I’m whisper-reading 1 John, 2 John, and 3 John in a soft, tingly ASMR style, and I also open with a gentle prayer asking the Lord to renew our minds through the washing of the Word, convict us concerning sin, and help us be sanctified. This is my first time reading from the World English Bible translation (public domain), and I chose it because it’s much easier to understand than the King James—especially for those of you who don’t have English as your first language. As I read through John’s letters, the themes are beautifully repetitive in a way that makes me feel like we should pay attention even more: God is light, confessing sin, abiding in Christ, and loving the brethren in deed and truth—not just with words. I also point out how John ties love for God to obedience, and how he warns us to test the spirits and watch for deception. My biggest takeaway is simple but weighty: love, love, and love more—while refusing to make a pattern of sin. I end by praying peace over you, inviting prayer requests, and encouraging anyone who doesn’t yet know Jesus to consider His beauty, truth, and saving power.
