About This Video

Okay girlfriend friends, in this video I’m testing the NEW Garnier Fructis Method For Curls Hair Mask (the one in the green packaging) on an actual wash day to see if it really does what it claims: deeply moisturise curls, reduce frizz, and make styling easier. I shampoo first, then use it as my deep conditioner (no regular conditioner in between), and I talk you through the smell, texture, and how my curls respond in real time. Spoiler: my curls actually liked it… but we still need to talk about the good, the bad, and the “ugly.” The good? I’ve got four wins: moisture (soft, hydrated, not stripped), slip (detangling is easier on wet hair), curl response (nice clumping and definition), and accessibility (affordable and easy to find in places like Tesco/Sainsbury’s). The bad for me is mainly that it’s very thick and it takes time to absorb—my hair didn’t feel like it was penetrating at first, so you need to let it sit for 5–20 minutes before you judge it. Final verdict: Curls By Sharlene approved, especially if your hair is dry and craving moisture, but if you love lightweight formulas or you’re always rushing, proceed with caution.
