CSP issues an urgent update on the use of PRP injections

The CSP is instructing all physiotherapists to immediately stop using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy with their patients. This new advice follows discussions with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), who have now confirmed to CSP that PRP is classed as a medicinal product in the UK.
