In this Birthstone Blanket CAL Monday check-in, I’m walking you through how I block my crochet squares so they’re nice and even before we join everything up. Each week we add 4 rows of a new stitch to our scrap blanket, and blocking is one of those little steps that makes a big difference—especially when you’re mixing stitches, yarns, and textures. I show you the tools I actually use and the basic setup that keeps my squares consistent. I go over a couple different options depending on what you’ve got on hand: foam blocking mats with pins for shaping, a wooden blocking board when you want quick, repeatable sizing, and my Conair steamer for a gentle steam block.
