About This Video

In this Battle Of the Stitches video, I’m working Stitch #26 for January—the Turtle Stitch—and I’m using it to make a super practical project: a tissue box cover. I walk you through how I use the Turtle Stitch in a way that looks textured and fun, but still works up into something you can actually use around the house. If you’re stitching along with me, this is a great way to take a “sampler-style” stitch and turn it into a finished make instead of just a swatch. This is part of our Battle Of the Stitches schedule, so after you watch my tutorial, I want you to head over to Heather @stringsandthreads and vote in the poll on her Community tab. And don’t forget—comment on my video too, because we’ll be picking a winner from the comments during our live. Make sure you also check out the other three channels (Heather, Lori, and Charity) so you can see how differently the same stitch can be used. If you want to follow along with the stitch book we’re using, I’ve linked it so you can grab it and stitch right along with us each month.
