What to Do in the Garden Now – Penstemons & Climbing Roses // Cottoverdi

In today’s video, I’m working through a few important late spring jobs in the garden, now that we’re safely past the last frosts. I’ll be cutting back penstemons to encourage healthy new growth, as well as tying in some of the climbing roses so they produce the most blooms and so that they’re properly supported for the season ahead. These are all fairly simple jobs, but they make such a difference to how the garden develops over the coming months, and this is one of those busy transitional moments in the gardening year when everything suddenly starts moving very quickly.
