Spring Bulbs in Pots 🌿 What To Do When They Finish Flowering // Cottoverdi

Today I’m sharing what to do with spring bulbs in containers once they’ve finished flowering. We start by looking at how these bulbs performed, and how the containers are looking now with Narcissus, Hyacinths and pansies in full bloom. We take a look around the garden at some of the daffodils and tulips growing in the borders, and pick a few to bring indoors. I explain why it’s best not to mix tulips and daffodils in the same vase, as the sap from daffodils can shorten the life of tulips. Finally, I show what I do with containers that have finished flowering, planting the bulbs out into the borders “in the green” and choosing positions where they will complement the surrounding planting in years to come.
