This perceptual effect, discovered over a century ago, reveals that certain saturated colors appear brighter to the human eye than they truly are, despite having identical luminance values. In practical terms, when you increase saturation, some hues can seem disproportionately luminous, unintentionally altering the balance of your image. FarbToneMeister addresses this by intelligently compensating for the perceived luminance shift caused by saturation.
