In this vibe coding session, I build a retro 90s-style Game Arcade using plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript—basically a fun, self-contained browser arcade you can run offline. We start by generating three classic games with simple ChatGPT prompts: a Snake game (with player name, score, timer, and level), a Tic Tac Toe game (showing whose turn it is plus score/level), and a Chrome-style Dino game. I test each one by dropping the generated code into its own HTML file and running it directly in the browser. After the three games are working, I stitch everything together with an arcade home screen (index.html) that lets you choose between Snake, Tic Tac Toe, and Dino. The key “90s arcade” touch is background music: the generated code tries a MIDI reference, but I show why you shouldn’t trust random external URLs (and many browsers don’t support MIDI well anyway). So I switch to a local audio file for reliable playback. I also call out real-world improvements: make Snake more punishing (wall collision), fix Dino’s buggy jump/UI, persist game state, and even decide whether the arcade music should continue across games or be per-game.
