The Botanist Cask Rested Gin Review – A Barrel-Aged Botanical Surprise! 🪵🍸

Today we take a look at The Botanist Cask Rested Gin which came in for us to take a taste of so we did the right thing: we tasted it. I think this will work in place of a traditional Old Tom gin as it has the smooth buttery component and oak aged flavor you get from an Old Tom. However, it seems The Botanist opted to brand this as a "cask rested" gin without the Old Tom terminology. You'll get much of the same great properties however. Light botanicals with an easy sipper yet a bit of a bolder oak aged flavor included brings something new to your gin. I don't think this will work in all cocktails that call for a "gin", but it will work in most of them pretty well (or better).
