Setting up a Dell T420

Taking a look at a Dell T420 desk-side form factor enterprise machine built in 2014. I want to set this thing up as a lab machine for interacting with various hard drives so we'll get an IT-flashed H310 RAID controller installed, install Ubuntu, mess around with some hard drives, and try out a cheap PCI-E to PCI converter board.
