In this video, I take you guys with me on a quick trip to Eastwood to pick up and test two bowling balls: the Hammer Purple Hammer and Storm The Road. We head to the pro shop to get everything fixed up—new inserts and a thumb slug—then I let Kendra choose the insert colors (we went yellow for The Road, and green/purple vibes for the Purple Hammer). I also share a little real-life moment on the way—my car battery died, but it got replaced fast, so we still made it to the lanes. Once we’re drilled up, I throw a few practice games and give you my honest first impressions. For the Purple Hammer, I’m playing that zone in between first and second arrow, and I noticed you really shouldn’t judge it on the first shot. It felt strong early, but as I played more games, the hook started to lessen—urethane behavior, basically. Then I switched to The Road and it was just stronger for me overall, with more flare than the Purple Hammer.
