About This Video

In this video, I show you my full 6-ball arsenal and why each ball earns a spot in my bag. I take them on the lane so you can actually see the motion differences, then I come back “from the future” to explain what each one is for—fresh oil, transition, burn, and of course spares. My goal is to help you think through ball selection the same way I do as a coach: not just “what hooks more,” but when it hooks, how smooth or angular it is, and what it does as the lane changes. For fresh oil, my first looks are my benchmark solids: the Storm Lock It (strong asymmetric solid) and the Storm Phaze II (strong symmetric solid). I also like having urethane as an option, so I include my Purple Hammer for a really smooth look. As the lanes transition from fresh to dry, I go to the Gem Pearl for length with a strong move, then my favorite shape right now—the Storm The Road—because it gives me length and an angular motion that helps me stay outside even when the lanes are burnt. To finish it off, I use the Motiv Arctic Sniper as my spare ball, and it’s unique because it has a urethane cover with very little hook.
