In this video, I’m sharing what’s been happening in my life and why it’s been a while since I last posted. Last week I went through the CCF True Life Retreat, and I can honestly say it was very, very life-changing. Before that, I would’ve categorized myself as a “fake it till you make it” Christian—going to Sunday church and Dgroups, but not really having a genuine relationship with Jesus. That retreat humbled me and made me realize I was taking God for granted, and that I need to prioritize rebuilding that relationship through repentance and renewing my mind. After that, we head to Plium for the second set of MTBA Open qualifying. The lanes were clearly high-scoring—there were big games happening, including a 299—so I tried to stay locked in and just enjoy the set and let the Lord do His work. I finished with a 599 scratch (close to 600), which I’ll take, but I’m not sure it’s enough to stay in the cut for the finals. I also talk through my ball reaction: my look near the outside was good for two games, then the back end got too strong on game three, so I switched to the Gem Pearl and realized I probably needed something even weaker to match up better. Moving forward, I’ll be sharing more of my faith on this platform—because someone out there might need to hear it.
