About This Video

In this video, I bring you guys along for a real day in the life of me as a bowling coach—mostly for First Strike Academy, with a little bit of bowling at the end. I’ve been off my previous job for a few months now, so my days look different: I’m coaching, focusing on my own bowling, and also renewing my faith and getting closer to God. Today was jam-packed with three coaching sessions across different centers—Gateway 2 first, then Santa Lucia—so you’ll see what my “on-the-ground” coaching life actually looks like. At Gateway, I shared more about how my wife and I started First Strike Academy (new pa lang since May) and what we’re building: a bowling school that bridges the gap between people who want to start bowling and those who want to be competitive. In the sessions, I normally start with drills on the lanes (no-step, one-step, then the four-step approach), record the four steps, and give feedback based on what I’m seeing that day—things like balance arm, shoulder alignment, follow-through, and ball speed. After coaching, I headed to league night, and I’ll be honest—I felt the fatigue. League was just okay for me, but that’s part of the grind. God bless, and I’ll see you guys on the lanes.
