It’s a Friday public holiday, so you already know what that means—PBA Monthly Finals at Santa Lucia. In this vlog, I take you guys with me as we chase our first PBA Monthly Finals title, and at the same time, we treat it as a super important practice run for the upcoming PBA Open. The pattern we used is the PBA Open oiling pattern (40ft), so I really wanted to feel how the lanes play on the fresh and, more importantly, how they transition as we move pairs. I shared my ball strategy going in: I started with the Roto Grip Gem Pearl on the fresh even though it’s a pearl, because on 40ft I needed that length—my solids were just reading too early from what I saw in league. Once the lanes started to transition and dry up, I moved into the Storm The Road, and honestly, that was the story of the night. I only used the Gem Pearl for a few frames, then it was The Road almost the entire time, with my Motiv Arctic Sniper as my spare ball and the Purple Hammer along just to test. And then that last game… a 261. I’m still speechless. That was all Him from up above—Matthew 19:26, with God nothing is impossible. This win is a testimony, and I’m just thankful.
