About This Video

In this video I break down how to market your dog training business when you’ve got no money—because I see this question nonstop (I literally just answered it in like 15 Facebook comments). When you’re starting out, you don’t have cash… you have time. So the goal is to use your time creatively to get clients now, build momentum, and then later you can use money to scale. But if you can’t get leads without paying, you’re building a business that collapses the second you run out of budget. The core idea is understanding warm vs. cold prospects. Warm people already know who you are, what you do, and how to work with you—friends, family, and your social media followers. That’s where you start, because it’s the fastest path to booked clients. After you exhaust warm outreach, you move into cold outreach: friends-of-friends, DMs, Messenger, and direct conversations. It takes longer, it’s more painful, and you’ll get rejected—but that’s the trade when you’re spending time instead of money. My simple daily flow is: post on social in the morning, then do outreach, send emails, text a few people, and call past clients or people who said “no” before. Build the system first—then paid ads just add fuel to the fire.
