Financial advisors have been underserved in terms of risk tools, and Rick wants to change that. He has had chief risk officer roles at Morgan Stanley, Bridgewater, and the University of California pension. He also worked for the Obama Administration for 6 years. He is the author of The End of Theory (Princeton, 2017) and A Demon of Our Own Design. Outside of work you can find him at the Renzo Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy in midtown NYC, where he has been training for 25 years, and is a black belt.
