I’m breaking down the trends I’m actually excited to wear: modern prep/prep school pieces (think A-line and plaid skirts, polos, button-ups, varsity jackets, and sweaters), the return of the pencil skirt (a chic, feminine staple you can dress up or down), and lingerie/undergarment dressing with lace, satin, silk, corsets, and even sheer pieces (with a bralette underneath, of course). I also talk about the “Uptown Punk” vibe—mixing soft feminine pieces with grungy or masculine staples—and the country chic/equestrian look with barn jackets, fleece, rubber boots, and thick leggings. And because y’all know I love a good color moment, I’m calling it now: chocolate brown is still that girl, and purple is going to be everywhere (deep grape to oxblood tones).
