In this video I’m sharing an Aritzia haul + try-on with pieces that are perfect for that end-of-summer into fall transition—especially now that it’s been gloomy, overcast, and the temps have dropped. Everything I picked up is what I consider elevated staples: simple, flattering, and easy to wear over and over again. A lot of these looks can also take you straight into winter (and honestly even spring) depending on how you layer them. I styled a few outfit ideas, like my navy “Ralph Lauren coded” sweater with a black mini skirt for a preppy, nautical vibe, plus a drape-neck black blouse that’s such a good work staple. I also tried on two dresses that are so easy to style: a thick, ponte-like grey mockneck dress that you can layer with button-ups or bodysuits, and a simple black drop-waist dress that’s perfect with tights for fall/winter or dressed up for a holiday party. And we have to talk about the cobalt one-shoulder top with the brown plaid pencil skirt—this combo surprised me, but the pop of color is so good. I wrap it up with two little black dresses (because yes, I can never have enough) and my chocolate brown long-sleeve drape midi dress that I’m convinced is going to be a forever piece.
