In this video I put the Ravemen NT301 and NT201 head-to-head, because a lot of riders assume the NT301 is automatically the “upgrade.” On paper it kind of looks that way: the NT301 brings a 2K camera into the mix, while the NT201 goes in a totally different direction with rearview radar. But these aren’t the same type of safety tool, so I break it down like I actually would if I was buying one—what problem are you trying to solve on the road? I audit the specs, battery life, and what you can realistically rely on mid-ride. The big takeaway is that “more tech” doesn’t always equal “more safety.” A camera can be great for recording incidents and adding accountability, but radar is about real-time awareness of cars coming up behind you.
