We try to catch the famous whirlpools, except we somehow can’t really get a proper glimpse of them (pain), so it turns into more of a “we were there, trust me” kind of moment. Still, the whole point of these trips for me is the in-between bits: the moving around, the small detours, and just letting Japan be Japan. Food-wise, I bring you to Inotani Ramen for lunch, then we go sakura hunting at Ritsurin Garden to see if we get lucky with the blooms.
