I picked up a rental Mazda ND Roadster and used it as my little Kyoto exploration machine—because if you’re going to do Japan drives, you might as well do it in something light, simple, and fun. This vlog is basically my ongoing archive type of day: a bit of car time, a bit of food, and a bit of “let’s just see what we find” along the way. I took the Roadster up into the mountains for lunch at Yamanoie Hasegawa, then did the kind of scenic driving I always crave in Japan—Arashiyama Takao Parkway is the highlight if you like sweeping roads and chill viewpoints. I also dropped by A PIT Autobacs Kyoto Shijo (because I can’t not browse car stuff), and ended the day with dinner at Kitomebore.
