In this first episode of my new series, Top Tech & Gear Finds, I’m sharing a handful of premium tech and everyday items I’ve come across recently—and we’re starting with the Fall 2024 edition. The idea is simple: each season I’ll highlight my favorite finds that feel genuinely well-made, useful, and aesthetically clean. If you’re trying to buy fewer, better things, this is exactly the kind of list I love putting together. I kick things off with the XGIMI MoGo 3 Pro, a compact Full HD projector that’s basically coffee-cup sized, but still manages to feel like a proper entertainment setup thanks to built-in Harman Kardon speakers, Google TV, and licensed Netflix. Then I switch gears to the Sun Home light sculpture from GRAU—more than a lamp, it’s a 360° ambient piece that transitions from clear light to super warm light with no blue light, which I genuinely appreciate for winding down at night. I also show the Mate sonic toothbrush in matte black, because yes, a toothbrush can look this minimal and still deliver a deep clean with high-frequency vibrations and a smart timer. And of course, I talk iPhone 16 Pro vs. Pro Max. This year the decision is easier because both models share the same camera system—so it really comes down to display size and battery life. I’m sticking with the iPhone 16 Pro (again) for the comfort, portability, and lighter feel.
