About This Video

In this video, I’m breaking down my top 5 keyboards for 2025—built around what I consider the sweet spot: the 70% (and close-to-it) layout. It’s the balance I keep coming back to because you get real functionality without the desk-hogging footprint. I walk through options that work great for both Mac and PC, from clean, minimal boards that just disappear into your workflow, all the way to fully custom builds that feel like a luxury object on your desk. I start with the Apple Magic Keyboard, which I still return to on Mac because it feels second nature—especially if you’re used to a MacBook. Then I move into Logitech’s lineup: the MX Keys Mini for a reliable, well-built everyday option with excellent auto backlighting, and the MX Mechanical Mini as an easy entry into low-profile mechanicals with great design and solid battery. After that, the Lofree Flow84 steps things up with a distinctly premium feel, smooth switches, and lighting that’s both functional and stylish. And finally, I show my custom Mode SixtyFive—weighted, walnut-accented, silent tactile—an example of just how far you can tailor a keyboard when you want something uniquely yours.
