In this video I’m giving you a tour of my newly updated bedroom, and the main thing you probably came for is my new gaming / home cinema setup. I’m running a PlayStation with the BenQ X500i short-throw 4K projector, all placed on an IKEA TINGBY side table on wheels. That little detail sounds boring, but it’s actually the reason the setup feels clean: I can move everything easily, and I only have one cable coming from the whole station. I break down what makes the X500i so impressive in a small room—at around 1.5m you can hit 100 inches, and in my space (about 2m) I’m getting a ridiculous 130-inch image that basically fills the wall. With 4K UHD, HDR support, and super low input lag, it’s genuinely immersive for games like Call of Duty Vanguard (dark scenes look great) and Need for Speed Payback (bright scenes pop). I also share a real-world note: capable 4K projectors generate heat, so you’ll hear fan noise and you need decent ventilation. Outside of the screen setup, I show my reading corner with the OTIS teddy chair and the AJ floor lamp, plus minimalist bedside storage, a 3-in-1 charger for occasional top-ups, a Bang & Olufsen speaker I’ve owned for years, and the Withings Body Scan scale for tracking health metrics.
