About This Video

Today I’m sharing my favorite pre-workout mix from my #weirdrecipe series: Aeropress + Pocari Sweat + ice. I know it sounds weird, but I’m honestly encouraging you to try it just for the sake of exploring—who knows, you might like it as much as I do. The idea is simple: you get caffeine from coffee plus electrolytes from Pocari Sweat, which can help with hydration and avoiding cramps when you’re sweating a lot during a workout. In the video, I walk you through my super straightforward Aeropress workflow (very Alan Adler vibes). I like using medium to light roasts here because dark roasts can overpower the Pocari Sweat flavor. You don’t need to overcomplicate it—use the Aeropress scoop (around 10–12g), fill Pocari Sweat to about the 1.5–2 mark, and keep your water around 80–85°C before pressing. After the taste test with Chike, the big takeaway is: warm or cold both work, but adding ice makes it extra refreshing—especially if you want something different from the usual sugary pre-workout drinks.
