Sharing with you guys my daily driver in coffee making, the Flair Pro 2. Even though I already have a coffee machine and several pour-overs, I still prefer this manual lever machine and I have been using it almost daily for the past 6 months. Hopefully I can help you out a little bit if you are looking to buy or upgrade your first espresso machine! 📍 Time Stamp 00:00 Intro 00:43 Espresso Journey 01:50 3 Things I Love About The Flair 04:20 Brewing With The Flair 06:50 3 Things I Wish I Knew Before Buying ---LINKS--- Flair Pro 2: https://www.manilaespresso.com/ 1Zpresso JX Pro Manual Grinder: https://www.lazada.com.ph/products/1zpresso-jx-pro-manual-coffee-grinder-brand-new-i1175152320.html Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/babescoffeeph/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/babescoffeeph/ Music from: https://www.bensound.com/

About This Video

In this video, I’m sharing my real 6-month experience with the Flair Pro 2 manual espresso maker—my daily driver even though I already have an espresso machine and a bunch of pour-over gear. I walk you through my espresso journey and why I ended up choosing the Flair: it’s way more affordable (around 16,000 pesos) but still gives you access to quality espresso at home. I break down the top three things I love: value for money (good espresso becomes more accessible), portability (it comes with a case and you can bring it anywhere as long as you have hot water), and the whole “morning ritual” side of it—manual espresso is just more rewarding for me. I also show my workflow from setup to pulling a shot: heating water hot (I go 100°C—hotter is better), preheating the brew head, grinding (about 45–60 seconds), dosing, distributing, tamping, and then pulling with the pressure gauge. My usual pull is a gentle pre-infusion for the first ~15 seconds, ramping up to around 8–9 bars, then slowly tapering down toward the end. Finally, I share what I wish I knew before buying: you need a proper grinder (I use the 1Zpresso JX Pro), and while espresso can be “quick,” preheating still takes time—so I treat it as a 15-minute ritual. At the end of the day, the only person you’re trying to please in coffee is yourself.
