Merit Brush

“hey everyone it's Autumn today I wanted to do a video where I kind of play with some of the things in this month's Beauty basket there are a couple of things that I've added in so I know that if you guys watched my first ever Beauty basket video that I found I let you know that if I add things uh to my collection or things come in throughout the month I go ahead and I add those to the beauty basket to kind of be tested um before I decide whether or not they go into the full collection so there are a couple of those items and then a few things that I just want to test and see if I'm still in love with or if I need to get rid of them so we're going to pin my hair back I don't know why I talk like we are going to pin my hair back I'm gonna pin my hair back and we are gonna get started all right so my skin is prepped and we're gonna go in first with this house labs foundation and I think I need to shake this I have the shade 100 light neutral I had a really hard time finding a match for this so I don't know if it says to shake it yeah shake well before use so I don't really know and I've heard that the texture of this Foundation varies depending on the shade you get so some people really loved it they said it's serum-like I did try using it once after I first got it a couple of months ago and I found that it was actually quite thick so um it didn't really seem very serum-like so typically I go in and I do kind of change the color but I'm not going anywhere today so we're just gonna see what this looks like as is on my skin so I'm gonna go in with this this is my Merit brush um it's their what do they call it I don't know I'll have it on the screen but it's like my favorite brush for foundation and it kind of buff things in I don't remember if this is the foundation that likes buffing so I'm actually just gonna go and like downward Strokes so it does look a little patchy it's not looking bad though I feel like I used it before and maybe I just didn't shake it well enough the first time I used it but I feel like it's looking a little bit better on my skin today didn't look the first time I tried to use it and this might be my mistake here where I went in with quite a bit to start and then I'm blending I think maybe a sheer wash and then build it after that might be the best way to go actually the color match isn't too bad it is slightly yellow which is fine well it's like a yellow orange if you see that it probably could use a little bit a blue added to it which once I get a feel for it if I decide I like the formula I will add a little bit of blue to it to continue wearing it all right I'm going to go in and correct a little bit around my eyes with this it's from Skin Food and it's just their salmon corrector and I don't think that this is the same brand well no it's not because waleda makes the skin food that when people talk about skin food it comes in the green squeeze bottle this is not the same brand as that um skin food is the brand and not the product on this I sometimes think it is kind of confusing when brands use like the same names for different products okay so I noticed right away and I don't know if you see this like on my nose especially here where I put that and I started to blend out with my fingers it picked up the house Labs foundation so I'm gonna try to Pat in around and make sure that the foundation stays in and it's not being picked up so not looking awful this is the foundation's looking better than I than it did last time I used it so I don't know what I did differently maybe it's the skincare I have underneath I don't know I'm gonna go in now with this the same um concealer and I love this concealer I think it's like the best I'll put some over here the skin match for me it's really good it's 1”
