About This Video

It is time, my friends, to let Amazon take the wheel. In this video I bought a bunch of tech entirely based on whatever Amazon decided was the top search result (no ads, no sponsored listings), and then I actually tested what showed up. That includes a “best-selling game console” that absolutely has Mad Catz vibes, a Plaud Note Pro AI recorder that really wants you on a subscription, Amazon Renewed tech like a Galaxy S22, and a “refurbished” PC that made me question every life choice that led to waiting almost an hour for Windows to boot. There are some legit bright spots—like a laser measure that’s certified cool tech, and the S22 being mostly as described for the money—but the big takeaway is that Amazon search results are not the same thing as good recommendations. The $297 ancient OptiPlex bundle is the perfect example of why you shouldn’t blindly trust “top result” shopping, and the KAIGERR “best laptop that isn’t too expensive” is exactly why price-to-performance matters in the $400–$500 range. Overall, this felt less like “Amazon knows best” and more like “Amazon has way too much stuff they’re not vetting well.”
