D&D’s New Actual Play: Dungeon Masters Looks Impressive

D&D might actually be turning a corner, and Dungeon Masters could be a big part of that. Wizards of the Coast just announced a new official D&D actual play set in Ravenloft and tied directly to Ravenloft: The Horrors Within. The first campaign follows a fractured band of unlikely allies trapped in a haunted land ruled by Lord Soth, where a search for a way home turns into an apocalyptic struggle inside his Domain of Dread. The series is DM’d by Jasmine Bhullar with Mayanna Berrin (playing Wesley, A Grave Domain Cleric), Christian Navarro (playing Eloin, a Winter Walker Ranger), Neil Newbon (playing Crem, a Reanimator Artificer), and Devora Wilde (playing Zora, a Hexblood Shadow Sorcer Wizards is pairing the show with weekly Ravenloft Play-Along Packs inspired by the episodes. Each pack includes a hook, a quickplay map for Maps VTT, and an early-access monster from Ravenloft: The Horrors Within. The premiere event is April 22, with episodes 1 and 2 releasing first, and new episodes arriving Wednesdays at 6:30 PM PST on D&D’s YouTube channel.
