I'm a long time user of Proxmox Backup Server, and I've built several PBS systems on my own before, but after moving across the world I don't have the space or hardware to run it at home any more. So, today I am setting up PBS in the cloud, using S3-backed storage using the new S3 datastore features in PBS 4.0. I'm doing it on Scaleway, an EU-based cloud provider which has stable and cost-effective S3, and using their absolute smallest VPS instance to host PBS itself.
