We stayed at the iconic Sheraton Huzhou “horseshoe hotel” in China - and it ended up being our least favorite stay of the entire China trip. We booked this hotel thinking it would be a nice, more upscale place to stay while visiting family in the area, but the experience turned out to be very different from what we expected. From a booking mishap to a dated room and the smell of smoke in the hallways, the hotel felt more “built for the masses” than a true luxury escape. That said, it wasn’t all bad - we also explore Huzhou and share a few local food spots we found along the way. If you’re planning a trip to China or considering staying here, hopefully this gives you a helpful and honest perspective. 🎥 More from our China trip → https://youtu.be/9lBwRL7U-DM?si=-NCfG9zisdPOJTnq → https://youtu.be/m9uaeAFEp3Q?si=jTvfCJdxdGE0L6TP → https://youtu.be/10Uz5HNAVcs?si=Vl7-Gs6mfzKOcjmU 📍 Hotel Details Sheraton Huzhou Hot Spring Resort (Taihu Lake) Huzhou, Zhejiang, China Nov 2025 | Standard Room ~$239 per night 🍜 In This Video 00:00 Intro 01:09 Booking Mishap (What Went Wrong) 03:41 Hotel & Room Tour 04:07 Breakfast Experience 09:43 Was It Worth It? 10:07 Local Food & Family Time 📌 If you enjoy honest hotel reviews like this, subscribe for more.
