To achieve this they had to do the following: - Make a fixed lens camera to place the lens as close as possible to the sensor (no space needed for the mount) - Get rid of IBIS - Get rid of focal plane shutter and add the much smaller in lens leaf shutter - Use a “slow” pancake lens: 35mm f/4.0 (28mm f/3.1 in FF) - Weight 735g: Lightest camera in the GFX series …..The GFX50R, at 775 grams*1 (body only!!!).
