Valley of Fire State Park ended up being the perfect day trip from Las Vegas with my four kids, and in this video I’m taking you along for our full day in the park. We entered through the West Entrance, drove Valley of Fire Highway (the main road), and made a few super easy stops that are great when you’re traveling with little ones. The Beehive Rocks are right off the parking lot (no hiking required), and the Visitor Center is absolutely worth popping into. From there, we did the quick walk out to Balancing Rock—such an easy photo op, even for a toddler. Then we turned onto White Domes Road (also called Mouse’s Tank Road), which is where you’ll find some of the best views and trails. We hiked the Fire Wave Trail with all four kids (yes, we had an early “accident” and a smashed GoPro, but she was a trooper!), and it was so pretty—just know some spots can be slippery. We also did the White Domes Trail (1.1-mile loop) at the very end of the road, and the slot canyon section was hands-down our favorite part, even though the rocky staircase at the beginning is the hardest and can be slippery. On the way out, we grabbed the iconic Mouse’s Tank Road viewpoint photo, and we finished with Elephant Rock near the East Entrance for one last classic Valley of Fire stop.
