I did the Upper Dells Boat Tour with all four kids (ages 1–8), and it was the one I’d personally choose to do again. The two shore landings—especially walking through the slot canyon at Witches Gulch—made it feel like a real adventure, not just a ride.
Pros
- +2-hour tour with two shore stops so kids can get off and move around
- +Witches Gulch slot canyon is a standout, “other-worldly” experience
- +Felt more educational and scenic along the Wisconsin River
- +We were able to bring our stroller on the boat
Cons
- -Longer tour can be tougher for kids with short attention spans
- -Stand Rock dog jump may be weather-dependent (we missed it due to rain)
