60 Days to UTMB and the starting gun in Chamonix! I'm home in Santa Barbara and running the beautiful trails along the Southern California coast. As an ultra runner, you have to make all kinds of adjustments and accommodations to race 100 milers. The training takes heaps of time, requires all the energy you got, and leaves you tired and hungry. God bless the wonders of ultra running! I am out on the trail and it's the 60 day mark on the countdown to Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc in Chamonix. I'm reflecting on the progress I've made in training and where it's brought me till now. Lots of focus and attention has been made to accurate and intentional training loads - as is the attention I've placed on diet and nutrition. I have a variety of long runs coming up and I'll be sure to share how the planning has prepared me for each one! Are you running UTMB 2023? How's training going for you? Run UTMB before?
