I have been taking my sleep much more seriously in the last six months with a number of behavioral changes based on scientific research around sleep. I applied these principles to when I was sleeping in a tent and I found they worked just as well. I wanted to share these tips with you all to help you get better rest when camping and traveling. Sleeping in a tent can wear you out over time, especially if you are traveling on a motorcycle, so the better rest you can get the better you will feel. I have left links to some of the articles I found that summarize the sleep studies in three categories; eating before bed, effects of alcohol on sleep and reading before falling asleep. I hope you find this useful and get better rest when you are camping.
