About This Video

In this vlog, I took you with me on my little “€100-ish ELF makeup experiment” here in Berlin—because honestly, I’m trying to improve my makeup game and my timeline has been shouting “ELF is the affordable place to start!” So I went to Alexa, started at Douglas, and quickly realized that finding a proper foundation match as a Black girl in Germany can be… drama. I tried to get help, but the shade I found was not matching my pocket at all (like €50+ for one thing? My body refused), so I switched plans and headed to DM to pick up the rest of my bits with moderation. Back home, I showed you everything I bought—mostly ELF (because “everyone and their grandmother” has that Power Grip primer), plus a few DM finds like Revolution powder and Catrice bits. Then I attempted a full face while rushing like a mad woman because I had a collaboration call and I had no time. I’m not a makeup artist, I’m a beginner, but we still tried—and I kept it real when things weren’t blending the way we planned. The final look? I feel like we did something small-small, and it’s progress. Rate it in the comments and tell me what I should do better next time—because we’ll get this makeup thing right by force in 2025.
