In this video, I’m taking you along on my maternity shoot day and, my loves, it started very “real life” because I woke up with a smashing headache and serious back pain. It was Sunday, not even 11am yet, and I was already like “what is this?” I had an idea in my head to do that half-baked concept—sitting on the floor with baking flour and all that—but I quickly remembered I’m the one that will clean up after, so we just went with the flow. Jessica came through with my makeup, and Ta T (tihabyphotography) shot the pictures. I showed my outfit changes, wig situation, and how I had to improvise because the flowers I wanted weren’t giving—and I didn’t have the energy to run to IKEA. After the shoot, the room was a whole mess because we moved so many things, even baby clothes as props, but the pictures were clean and crispy. Then it’s Monday and I’m back with energy—shower done, meeting by 11, and I’m making raspberry leaf tea (hbe blat) with oranges because I didn’t have pineapple juice. I also started unboxing my baby shower gifts and I’m honestly so grateful—especially for the wipes (we will not lack wipes for a long time). We still had gift cards to use, and my husband is handling the big unboxing and assembling like the pram and baby bed. It really hit me again: I can’t believe I’m a mama.
