Soft Sandwich Bread 2 c. barely warm water 2\3 c. white sugar 1 1\2 tsp. salt 1\4 c. vegetable oil 6 cups flour (I use bread flour) 1 1\2 Tbsp. yeast Place all ingredients in bread machine. Set to dough cycle. It might overflow your bread machine or lift the lid as it rises. It's a lot of dough and makes 2 large loaves. I use extra long bread pans similar to these https://amzn.to/3zYy3AO Both of mine are vintage and irregular sized. Once the dough is complete; turn it out onto an oiled surface. Press into a rectangle and roll up tightly. Place in greased pans. Cover and allow to rise until about 1 inch (or more) above edge of bread pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes depending on how dark you like the crust. Brush tops with butter for a soft crust if you like. Stores well at room temperature for about 5 days. I sometimes cut each loaf in half; wrap in plastic wrap, place in freezer bag and freeze until I need more bread. It thaws quickly. My cookbooks are available for purchase.
