(Feel free to screen shot the recipes from the video) Volume 1 https://www.acountry-life.com/product-page/a-country-life-vol-1-cookbook Volume 2 https://www.acountry-life.com/product-page/a-country-life-cookbook-vol-2 Soft Sandwich Bread (see recipe written out in this video) https://youtu.be/H67vxaD_gUE Ginger Cookie Bars are in cookbook vol. 1 Creamed Chicken 6 T. butter 6 T. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 c. well seasoned chicken broth 1 c. half & half 1 c. milk 1 c. heavy cream 4 c. cooked, cut up chicken 1/2 c. chopped celery 1/2 c. chopped onion pinch of parsley splash of dry white wine Melt butter, stir in flour, salt and pepper. Allow to get bubbly, then add in vegetables and cook a few minutes until veggies are a bit tender. Stir in broth and milks. Bring to a boil for a minute and then turn down heat to a simmer until the gravy is nice and thick. Add chicken and heat through. Pour in splash of wine and sprinkle with parsley. Serve over biscuits, mashed potatoes, or rice. Very comforting!
