This is what baking together with 4 adults and 6 kids looks like!! Christmas Baking | Wait Until You See What We Used as a Rolling Pin😂 Peanut Butter Blossoms 1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. peanut butter 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed 1/2 c. white sugar 1 egg 1 3/4 c. sifted flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 2 T. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 bag chocolate kisses or stars Cream shortening, sugars, egg and peanut butter. Add milk and dry ingredients alternately. Add vanilla. Shape dough into balls and roll in white sugar. Bake on ungreased pans at 375 degrees for 7-8 minutes. Remove from oven; place candy on top of cookie, pressing down so cookie cracks around edge. Return to oven; bake another 1-2 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen cookies. Peanut Butter Balls 4 T. peanut butter 4 T. margarine or butter 1 tsp. vanilla 4 T. light corn syrup 1 c. powdered sugar 2 T. milk 2 1/4 c. vanilla wafers, crushed (basically the whole box) Mix all ingredients together, reserving 1/4 c. crumbs to roll the balls in. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in extra crumbs. Chill awhile to set; we like the best in the freezer. Double Chocolate Peppermint Cookies https://inbloombakery.com/double-chocolate-peppermint-cookies/ 50 Cent Pieces (Pecan Dainties) 1 c. butter, no substitutes 1/4 c. powdered sugar 2 c. flour 1/8 tsp. salt Cream butter; blend in remaining ingredients. Shape into 2 rolls, 1 1/2 in. round and chill. The dough is a bit dry and so you have to squeeze the dough together to shape it. Cut slices 1/4 in. thick. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees about 10 minutes. Should not be brown. Cool and frost. Frosting: 2 T. browned butter (place in small saucepan and heat and swirl until slightly brown. Remove from heat and stir in 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar, 1 T. hot water, cream or milk until spreading consistency. Frost and dip tops into finely ground pecans. Add milk as needed to keep the frosting from setting up as you frost.
