I work on helping students build a growth mindset, I have found that most of my accounting students really hate it when they struggle to learn something. It goes beyond just taking more time. There's a lot of anxiety, concern, fear of failure, frustration involved. In some cases, too much struggling leads to people deciding to leave their qualification journey, because they feel that it must 'mean' that they're not going to be able to be successful in this. It SEEMS logical to us... but WHERE does this come from? WHY do we have this feeling? Once you understand WHY you feel this way, why struggling makes you feel so uncomfortable, I believe you can make better decisions about your studying, you can reduce your anxiety, and start to see your learning a little differently!
