I get a lot of questions relating to career advice. Working towards a professional qualification means that our studies and work are bound together quite a lot. So I ran a session on 'stuff I wish someone told me' (because this is something that I said a LOT!). I started by giving a bit of background to my work experience, so that you can understand where my advice comes from and that I have pretty varied experiences in different roles and levels that allows me to give you advice that's pretty broad. The session itself covered the basics of a few topics: - Employee vs Entrepreneurial Mindset - 'Soft' skills are the hardest - Reasons & Seasons - Opportunities: Make vs Take These are very much the beginning of these conversations. It was intended to give you some stuff to consider and think about, that may not have been on your radar. There's some advice, some warnings, some comfort and reassurance, and as always, you'll only get honesty from me.
