“hi guys and welcome back to my channel so in today's video i'm going to be sharing with you what i've packed in my operation at christmas chilled shoebox if you haven't seen the channel before then my name is abigail and i make a lot of motherhood content and i've also packed one of these boxes i've actually packed two of these shoe boxes i'm going to share with you what i've packed in them just to some inspiration for you if you're looking to buy things this week to send off in the shoe boxes if you don't know what this initiative is i'll really quickly just explain it is a shoe box filled with toys that's going to be sent off to a child who might not otherwise get a christmas present and so it's a little gift for them to have at christmas filled with lovely things that they'll enjoy if you're watching this in real time as the video has gone live then national collection week is next week which is the 15th to the 22nd of november 2021 that's when you need to have your boxes in by and so i thought i'd just upload this video now so you guys can see some inspiration of some ideas of what you might want to pack my husband actually used to receive these boxes as he's as a little boy he lives he used to live in romania if he didn't know he's romania and so he used to get these boxes when he was little so it's something a little bit close to our hearts as well so without further ado let's get straight into what's in our shoe boxes we picked two shoe boxes this year and this one is for a two to four year old boy which is the same age as my son samuel is if you don't know so i felt like a fun little box to do with him and actually the idea was to do it with samuel and make it a fun activity but unfortunately yesterday he was too tired so it was a bit of a disaster so i just packed the box mostly and i'm just going to share with you what i got in it i also share with you where i bought the things just in case you want to buy specific things like and you're seeing or just take ideas from so the first thing i got is this little teddy and actually i can't share with you this is from because it's a teddy that we had already but it's a little cuddly toy which i'm sure you can find anywhere then we also got this pack of stickers this is the vehicle stickers and they were two for one so we also got some for the girl just a little flat stickers it's actually quite hard sometimes to find things that are gonna fit in the shoe boxes you know so we do often get flat things that'll take up less space so you can buy more things and squeeze more things in and we also have socks for from primark these were from a couple of pounds for a few different pairs of socks then we went to wilkinson's i believe and got a little rainbow sling one of those little slinky slings i just say sling one of those little slinkies that goes down the stairs that's what that is and then i also got him a little dove bar this is just a little bar of soap this you can find anywhere i'm sure but i believe we also got this from wilkinsons or was poundland even maybe then i also got these the two gloves for him these are actually toddler size gloves so it's perfect for the age range just one little pair of gloves to put in there as well little dinosaurs on them you can also find them in fire mark i think then i also got him this is a pack of wax jumbo crayons these were from poundland i think as well then i got him this little pad it's actually a short hand pad it says but it's just a basically a lined pad cost a pound as you can see and it just loads loads of paper so you can scribble along over it because they're often into scribbling at that age aren't they then we have a toothbrush this is a oral b with a protein brush again i think from poundland this is aged two to four years then i also got him from wilkinson's a little torch because kids love torches don't they because they're so good little blue torch and then i also got because it says on the leaflet that it comes along with the information about the box you i also got extra batteries to put in there and then what you can hear jingling was from the works actually and it is this little traditional wooden bells jingly very very loud this is two pounds from the works and then lastly in here we have also from the works a colorful kaleidoscope do you guys remember these i remember these when i was little and i used to love them the little ones that you turn and look through and it's really pretty colors such a lovely toy i think um so nice so we got him that as well and those are things that we got the boy now moving on to the girl she got to the girl two pairs of gloves because it just happened these ones came in a two-pack and also a hat this was three pounds i think this was from the pound store actually and we also put in a bar of soap like in the boys one we put in a pencil case this is a fuzzy pencil case there's some soft because this is for i didn't think until i told you the girl's age is ages five to nine i believe that we're doing so it's a little fuzzy pencil case it's nice and soft it'll be nice for her to put our stuff in a little pencil what's it called a little pencil sharpener and rubber there and then of course some pencils to put in our pencil case with our sharpener and rubber then we also got this little diary i think this one's from b m it's three pounds it's just a pretty little obviously she probably can't read the english of it but it's a really pretty diary and it says believe human to believe a dream an inspire on it um it's just a really pretty pattern it comes with a little pen for her to write in then we also got her a toothbrush as well then the other half of those stickers that i showed you little heart stickers and then her main kind of gift that we put in is this little doll so cute it's a little barbie doll i really enjoy buying things for the girl for the girl because i don't have a girlfriend so it's fun to buy little dolls and stuff although of course boys can play with dolls too but my big boy is not interested in dolls so it's nice to buy like a cute little thing like that this was actually kinda proceed pricey i feel like i don't know if these are all that expensive but this was i think 12 pounds so that was kind of expensive in i'm not sure if everything like dolls and stuff are that expensive usually probably and then i got this little three pack of scrunchies because he doesn't like a scrunchie i'm forgetting to tell you where these are from by the way i think these are usually from either wilkinson's or the pound shop you can usually find all those things in there anyway and then i went to primark and got a pack of bangles these were a pound for a little jingly pack of bangles of course i'm gonna be too big for her probably if it's just for like dress up anyway then a little necklace this little necklace was a pound 50 and let me show you this i thought this was kind of cute little i don't think this is focusing is it a cute little silver necklace in for a pound 50 and then some little little rings um little silver rings that are meant to go in different fingers of parts of your finger i think but you can literally just wherever she was because again it's just for dress up and i got these three things yeah together like a little set you can also of course go to claire's accessories which i think is more expensive but you can get some lovely things and clears accessories for little girls or slightly older girls as well so lovely so those are all the things that we packed in our shoe box for little boy for the little girl i will give you some inspiration if you're looking what to pack and i hope you enjoyed packing your boxes and i'll see you very soon
