You Will Never Be "Discovered." You Have to Sell Yourself | How to Make Money Blogging

Yep, I'm addressing that dirty word: *whispers* sales. For a long time, I struggled to make money blogging because I held two totally opposite beliefs at the same time. 1. I believed what I created was valuable. Most of you do, or you should! Your work is awesome. 2. I believed I didn't deserve to earn money for posting content on the internet. This is something we can blame the "digital free" era for. These two beliefs contradict each other. Many creators deal with this by falling hard for the "I'll Be Discovered" myth. This is you if: - you rely on an algorithm to promote your content - you're scared of selling things - you dream that people will magically find you and want to pay you money without you having to lift a finger - you think of sales as something you have to resort to But honestly? You'll never be discovered. You have to market and sell yourself if you want to make real money as a blogger. Today, I make money as a blogger by shamelessly selling myself and my content.
