SIMGOT provided the SuperMix 4 for this first look, and it gave me a good chance to see how far “entry to midrange” tuning has come. At around $150, it lands as a pleasant, competent set with slightly forward mids and controlled treble, and it competes surprisingly well with older midrange benchmarks.

Pros

  • +Pleasant tuning with slightly forward mids
  • +Controlled treble with good detail and low sibilance
  • +Strong value for the price compared to older midrange sets

Cons

  • -Bass isn’t very deep or slammy compared to many modern IEMs
  • -Included cable is single-ended; I’d like a balanced option
  • -Nozzle lip is not very distinct, so some tips may not fit securely
