Ultralight Panfishing & Finesse Bass Fishing From Shore (STRANGE CARTOON BASS CAUGHT)

For weeks we have only been legally allowed to go fishing fishing for food, but Maryland now allows recreational fishing and things are at least back to normal on the fishing front. It's still crazy times, but to be able to get out and enjoy the great sport of bass fishing or fishing for fun in general, definitely makes things feel a little better. I went shoreline fishing on a community lake to go after everything that swims! I was bank fishing with my son at the same lake the day before an we landed a couple of nice black crappie, one of which was around 16 inches so I had to give it another shot. I brought the same ultralight setup that caught us the crappie from shore the day before and a 1/16 ounce rooster tail in-line spinner was still tied on from the day before. I also brought my dropshot set-up since I had seen a bunch of bass up shallow the day before and knew I'd have a shot at popping a few bass off their beds from the shore. There was non-stop panfishing action with some feisty bluegill, but only one crappie took the roostertail. I found a few nice bass with the drop shot, but the goofy cartoon lookin' bass that ate my rooster tail was the strange catch of the day.
