And that is how Google has started to take your title and chopping it around. So if you don’t know Google, well, Google has been doing this for some time. When you search for something, it doesn’t always use the meta title tag to show up the, you know, rendered title of the page on the SERP, the search engine results page. But it sometimes uses the H1 tag if that is more relevant. But now, what they’re doing is a little different. What they’re doing is they’re just shopping for your title altogether. So they’re making a new title to better fit what they think the searcher wants to see in the title. And I’ve seen this in practice. I’ve been looking for an answer to a question and clicked on the title of the article, but it was not the answer to the question. Google just chopped up the title, and I know it did that because I searched for the exact title inside the article, and nowhere were those characters. Was that text written? So they’re claiming this is for user experience and for searchers to get better results. It didn’t help me. It helped me a lot, but I can see this being a positive for people who don’t take us seriously. So one of the things I’m actually looking at is an article from Search Engine Land right here called β€œGoogle Explains Why It Made the Title Change to the Search Results.” And what they’re saying is that Google went from using a simple title tag 80% of the time to 87% in the past couple of months. So I don’t know if that means they were like, β€œNo, we’re going to do it 80%.” And then there were a lot of flashbacks. No, I get it. We’ll do 87% to make you guys happy. Rightfully so. Because that means that you’re optimizing your article for no reason, if Google takes 30, 13% of the time, Google’s not going to show what you want it to show. That’s a problem, especially if you’re paying good money for an agency or SEO to help you out there. Hopefully, I picked the right keywords. They know the searcher’s intent. They know what they’re doing with the meta tags, titles, headings, age, tos, everything, and then Google does whatever it wants based on an algorithm. The article says only time will tell if Google is using this as a good opportunity for SEOs. This is good news for bloggers and other website owners, but we’ll see. *Read the full transcript on my blog https://yerainabreu.com/blog/google-replacing-your-title-on-the-serp/ β€” 𝗧 𝗔 π—š 𝗦 β€” #seo #google #serp #tagmanager #htmltags #seo #digitalmarketing #marketing #socialmediamarketing #socialmedia #webdesign #branding #business #onlinemarketing #contentmarketing #website #marketingdigital #searchengineoptimization #webdevelopment #google #ecommerce #advertising #marketingstrategy #instagram #design #marketingtips #wordpress #entrepreneur #digital #graphicdesign #websitedesign #smallbusiness #sem
